Sharlene and I arrived at the crack of dawn. It was a cool fall morning, perfect for a 5K at the National Harbor.
Everyone was given a white tshirt and headband.
Erelyn, Erin and Daniel arrived shortly later. Our route started near the beach and we took off in the fourth or fifth wave or color runners.
Erin quickly took the lead, but Evelyn and I weren’t far behind.
We headed up the hill and prepared to enter the yellow zone.
It was a lot like running through sunshine. If the sunshine were a really messy poweder substance.
The next few stations were a bit of a blur. After the blue station we all looked a lot like Smurfs.he blue station we all looked a lot like Smurfs.
We crossed the finish line…
and headed to the afterparty for the color throw.
Afterwards, we popped into Elevation Burger for a quick and dirty lunch.
Color run truly is the happiest 5K on the planet!
