Today Evelyn and I met our very good friend Kinny for dim sum. Kinny suggested Hong Kong Pearl Seafood Restaurant in Falls Church. There was a line out the door, but Kinny was kind enough to arrive on time and get us a table so we really didn’t have to wait. I can’t tell you what I had, except that it was delicious and it wasn’t chicken feet.
Afterwards we ventured across the street to Eden Center, a shopping center dedicated to Vietnamese culture.
The center was packed and had lots of little shops, bakeries, and delis.
We stolled around and peeked in shop windows and popped into one of the delis for some coffee bubble tea before taking off to catch the Avengers in 3D (which sadly, was lacking any representation of the Asain culture, but still a fantastic film!)
Our evening ended with a taste of Thai. Really, we stopped in SakulThai for a quick dinner before heading home. No exploring next week, I’m off to Chicago and Houston for work. Wish you were here!
